About Me
One person. Deeply committed. Showing up for both sides.
I'm not a massive agency. I'm one person who is deeply committed to doing this work well. When you book me, you get me.
Why I Started Clear Language Bridge
I started Clear Language Bridge because I watched family members struggle in medical settings where nobody spoke their language. Nodding along to instructions they didn't understand. Signing forms they couldn't read. Leaving appointments confused about what had just happened with their health.
That experience stayed with me. It wasn't just frustrating — it was dangerous. And I knew it didn't have to be that way.
I'm bilingual and bicultural — I grew up navigating both English and Spanish, and I understand Chicago's specific Hispanic communities: the neighborhoods, the families, the way people communicate when they're scared or confused or trying to advocate for themselves in an unfamiliar system.
“I believe every patient deserves to understand what's happening with their health — and every medical team deserves to know their patients understand them.”
So I built this. A small, direct, personal service focused entirely on being the bridge between medical professionals and the Spanish-speaking patients and families they serve.
How I Work
These aren't slogans. They're the actual principles I bring into every room I walk into.
Accuracy Matters
Getting the words right isn't optional in medical settings. I take every interpretation seriously — because the stakes are real.
Respect for Everyone
My role is to facilitate without taking sides. Both the medical team and the patient deserve to feel heard and understood.
Confidentiality
What happens in the room stays in the room. Every conversation I'm part of is treated with complete discretion.
Reliability
Showing up on time, dressed appropriately, and prepared. Healthcare facilities deserve someone they can count on.
My Mission
Patient Understanding
When patients understand their care, they make better decisions. That's the foundation of everything I do.
Serving My Community
Chicago's Hispanic community is my community. This work is personal — not just professional.
Doing One Thing Well
I focus exclusively on medical Spanish interpretation. No side projects, no general translation — just this.
